From his early years as a kid in Delaware, he was already interested in hunting, fishing, trapping and archaeology. He loved the natural environment as a gift, and learned how to use it.<\/p>\n<p>By the time I had him as a neighbor here in Waves, he was quite adept at all of those interests. At\u00a0times, for our small band of surfing brothers, he was a provider.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/snow-geese.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2277\" alt=\"snow geese\" src=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/snow-geese.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"591\" srcset=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/snow-geese.jpg 400w, http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/snow-geese-270x400.jpg 270w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With a light dusting of snow, the geese were flying by in formation. Robin got 3 right off the bat behind our trailer in Salvo. 1977<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/deer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2278\" alt=\"deer\" src=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/deer.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"406\" srcset=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/deer.jpg 600w, http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/deer-400x270.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Robin had just shot this deer in Buxton Woods, and came by to show BJ and me when we lived in Salvo. Robin rode a single fin 6-10 winger-pintail that he made.
