During the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s, I made quite a few trips to play and photograph in Costa Rica. They were all diverse, fantastic experiences, and I especially admired tropical rainforests.<\/p>\n<p>On a 1994 trip, traveling with long time friend Allen Jones, we hiked into remote Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula and spent a better part of a week camping, exploring and taking pictures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/corcovado.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5204\" src=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/corcovado.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"786\" srcset=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/corcovado.jpg 500w, http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/corcovado-254x400.jpg 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Considered one of the most biodiverse systems on earth, the park at Corcovado is a classic example of old growth tropical rainforest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/landscape.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5205\" src=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/landscape.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"370\" srcset=\"http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/landscape.jpg 600w, http:\/\/photoblog.michaelhalminski.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/landscape-400x247.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leaving Corcovado, we noticed a logging road just outside the park so we drove in. I got my first aid kit equipped with some eye drops to wash it out, a technique I learned as an EMT. He was quite appreciative.
